Was in town for an event and was recommended here by a friend in the area. I'm glad we listened, because this place was awesome. It was packed in there with a line to even be seated, and yet not once did I feel crowded, and despite the line, I was seated very quickly. Even quicker than that was the cook who seems to have mastered his craft and prepared some of the best breakfast I've had in a long time. My only complaint is they don't have a location in Modesto!

Love this place! Such a great atmosphere and quality service, and friendly staff, and such a homely atmosphere at that! Food and coffee is always excellent no cutting corners here! I always order the breakfast burrito as I feel it is the best I've had in town. The cook Mani and server Steve make you feel at home and welcome. meet as strangers leave as friends one sign on the wall they have. Couldn't be more true with the way they follow through. Almost makes me a little sad when I don't have time to go there.

We were in Manteca for swap meet and stopped in to grab breakfast. The family owned cafe was great! Service was on point, food was good portions and tasted great! Pancakes were on point, the Dirty Moose has hash browns, eggs, biscuit and gravy with bacon pieces on top. The biscuits and gravy with a side of potatoes weee food too! I loved that kids design the covers for the menus. Definitely a place to come back to when JB town.

8-21-2024 I had the Linguica Omelette and it was amazing! 11-15-2023 Today I had a fat and delicious breakfast. I had the moose skillet. I also had a biscuit with gravy. I had a large apple juice, black coffee and ice water. Everything was good!! 11-9-2023 I came back for a second time and they were once again out of biscuits. I’ve been really wanting to try them!! I ordered The Meaty Moose Omelette with country potatoes. I had a pancake as my side since they were out of biscuits. For my beverages I had iced water, a large orange juice, and black coffee. This place is a home run!! I stopped here last minute on my way to Escalon. The food here is amazing! The portion sizes are ginormous! I had The Moose Omelette with Country Potatoes topped with Cheddar Cheese. I also had a pancake as my bread option since they were out of biscuits. For my beverages I had black coffee, a large orange juice and iced water. The service was prompt, attentive and friendly. I’m so glad I found this place.

We came early on a Saturday morning and it was already packed. Nonetheless, we were seated fairly quickly at the bar. It was a great experience to watch the cooks chef it up right in front of us. The food came out fast and was amazing. You’ll have the choice of toast, pancakes, biscuits, or biscuits and gravy. We ordered the chicken fried steak, a waffle, and the spinach scramble. The portions did not disappoint.

Stopped for breakfast Saturday morning on the way to Sac. Small place and very busy. The wait was only 10 minutes for 2 of us. Sat us at the bar. This place is not modern. Its an older building cafe. I think thats considered downtown. I may be wrong. I dont know Manteca all that well. I dont mind that kind of place at all. If modern is your thing, its not modern. It was cool because you can see them cook and appreciate how hard they were working while keeping great attitudes. The servers helpers and I think the owner were all great. Very welcoming and family environment. Its rare to find this kind of experience. Kudos Mangy Moose. After we ordered, the drinks came immediately. The food came out fast. Nothing blew my mind but everything was good. A solid breakfast. I did order a basic breakfast though. French toast, eggs, bacon and hash browns. I saw some of the skillets being prepared and kicked myself in the butt for going so basic. I do like a basic breakfast though. Especially at a new place. Overall this was a good experience. My kind of breakfast spot. Im giving 5 stars across the board because if i dont it wont sit well with me. After the great service and everyone's great attitudes. Good food and great service. I will be back to try the skillets and other menu items. Again, kudos Mangy Moose!

Best hole in the wall you would ever want to find! Funny friendly loud personable staff! Food is well made. Old style counter seating with a few tables in the back with one large one right under the front window. Usually a line out the doors ( front and back) on the weekends. Worth the wait. Try to get there early, you’ll thank me!!!
